The grocery store near me in Beaumont TX serves up the thickest Gumbo i have ever had. It's not the most flavorful, but some shots of Crystal easily compensates. All the endless crackers and Texas Pete's packets you want. I get a pint every Friday after work now.

Passed through Crockett, TX the other day. Stopped off to see this statue honoring Lightning Hopkins (1912-1982). Hopkins released more albums than any other Bluesman and was one of the initial inductees to the Blues Hall of Fame in 1980.
