/r/JohnnyCash is about the American singer-songwriter, guitarist, actor, and author, Johnny Cash.
Today we celebrate the 88th birthday of Johnny Cash, who was born on this day in 1932. As he grew up he dreamed of one day singing on the radio. I think we all can agree on that he achievied something a lot more than that. He touched the hearts of millions and still continue to do so today.

The Heckels - Folsom Prison Blues (1972):I guess this could be considered the 'novelty' song on this wonderful record, but I think the 11-year-old J-Bird Heckel creates something beautiful and ethereal from this Johnny Cash classic.
