Can anyone explain why my cat's eyes come out beautifully every time with the SX-70 but with the I-2 they never have that natural look as on the SX-70. They always come out neon green. Why does this happen with the I-2 but never with the SX-70?

My desk at school. I just love my Polaroid Spirit 600 CL, a camera I got for 5 bucks on e-bay, required no reconditioning, and takes more good pics per pack than my $600 I-2 does! (though, I still love that camera, but it's definitely not a "point and shoot" like the Spirit 600 CL is.

First image is a badly damaged 50 year old pic of me at the piano. I scanned it, worked on it...printed it on the Lab....not bad. The other is my cats (from iPhone to Lab) and a park pic (iPhone to Lab).

How would one explain this failure? Film was not expired, bought from Polaroid, refrigerated till used. This was the only failure in the pack- others were totally fine. I see the brown spots where the opacification layer failed, but what would explain half the pic that looks spotted curtain?

#1 taken with GO Gen 2 in full sunlight. The building is actually blue, but I love how it came out. #2 is without sunlight. #3 is at the same time as #1 but with a GO Gen 1. #4 GO Gen 2 of harbor. #5 GO Gen 2 looking out at yard. Not bad for a GO I think.

Walking around town during Sunrise with my I-2. The scans are frustrating because they do not look nearly as good as the actual photograph in your hand. There's a certain "softness" in the color, the shading....I don't know what to call it....that does not translate into the scan. Even so, not bad.

Cat pics. Some using I-2 with a light meter app on my iPhone to get the right settings. The others are an SX-70 Sonar using 600 film with 1/2 flash on the Mint bar. The SX-70 has not been converted to take 600 film.

I-2 manual settings experiments. I took four photos of my cat using different manual settings. Generally the auto setting have been so-so, so I want to learn to do it with the manual controls. I'm trying to get pics that are as good as the SX-70 Sonar. So far,....not easy to do!!!!

A trip to the park with my I-2. I experimented with manual settings mostly. I should have brought a pen to mark the pics on the back so I could compare them later. I did learn that the smaller apertures should be used sparingly in BRIGHT sunlight- even then, the shutter speed best be right!!

My favorite FAIL pic! If you pull up a podium and stick a famous actor/actress in front of it and voila!....you're at the Oscars!!! lol. This was with a Polaroid GO Gen 2 using ALMOST expired film. The other 7 shots came out fine though. Can't explain why this one came out like this.

I love taking Polaroids of my 2 cats. The SX-70 takes superior close ups compared to the I-2. It's really no contest at all. Look forward to discovering the I-2's strengths, but close up cat pics is definitely not one of them!!!
