Need to add more 12v and ground wires to a PSU I'm modifying. Has anyone tried soldering wires directly to the PCB of an ATX PSU, just like the other wires were from factory?

Disassembled the Performance AstroPad. I had one of these when I first got my Dreamcast and it was WRETCHED. Opening it up revealed some interesting things; namely how all the components of the controller are separate PCBs connected via wire instead of being one board.
