Seeking the infinite.
Anyone familiar with this iconography? The woman in front of me at the restaurant had it. She said she asked for a snake tatoo and that’s what the artist came up with.

Happy Mother's Day! Amongst thousands of sādhakas and tens of millions of worshippers, fortunate are they who do Kālī sādhana. Kālī is the Mother of the Universe and of all shastra, quite certainly. Remembering Kālī frees one from the fetters of a paśu. - Yoni Tantra

The Greek philosopher Aristotle writes that philosophy begins in wonder and awe. Awe at the majesty of nature, wonder at the mind of humans comprehending the abyss. The mysteries teach a higher wonder - wonder and communion with that which intellect alone cannot comprehend. Seek that initiation.

All matter lives, and everything that lives possesses intelligence … The atom is conscious, if man is conscious, … exercises will-power if man does, is, in its own little way, all that man is. … I cannot avoid the conclusion that all matter is composed of intelligent atoms ...

This is real. Grown, conscious, rational-acting, well-meaning people literally believe this. Without resorting to ad hominem or otherwise fallacious reasoning, what is a response that a pagan should make to these folks to show them they are wrong? What pagan way of thinking would you suggest?

Hail Hekate! Happy Deipnon - "Among the immortal gods Hekate has never said to the wise spokesmen of the gods anything vain or unfulfilled ; but descending out of the domain of the Father from the omnipotent Intellect, she is always irradiated by Truth ..."

Phanes — Girolamo Olgiati (1569) - i love this image. Who knows why he has three faces?
Barbaric… this is worse than some Medieval ish. Raping men is a common - though largely unknown - tactic in war. It is intended to humiliate the men, spread terror, and demoralize the enemy. Of course, dogs are haram in Islam so being raped by one would be especially horrific.
Today, Neoplatonic Theurgists celebrate Noumenia, the start of the new month. As part of our celebration we revere Thunder, Perfect Mind. I celebrate the Christos as the embodiment of the forces of time and history in its human aspects.

I like Williams. Though we disagree on fundamental issues like salvation and the divine, his insight into real world realities have always struck me as practical and common sense. When he speaks of “demonic”, it says something.
"It's cultural" This woman says that the hypocrisy is rank and vile. Her honesty and courage are vital to how we will regenerate world society.
Ishtar is an avatar of Hekate. I have never seen this image before. Not only is it mysterious and beautiful, its iconography is unique and distinct. Lions are linked to Kybele, Rhea, and Hekate. The wings are interesting.

Christians say that death is the enemy: "The last enemy to be destroyed is death. For he “has put everything under his feet.” - 1 Cor:26 Do not fear death. Fear the injustice and terror that it spread across the face of creation. I say fear, for courage is knowing what to fear and what not to fear.

The Iynges are messengers, much as angels are in Christian mythology. By invoking the Iynges, however, you can learn the secret passwords that you need to be purified to ascend through the various metaphysical realms of the Chaldean cosmology.

Have you had extraordinary, even magical, encounters with animals? I have had two that were pretty cool. Not as cool as bring warned about an avalanche or finding cancer. Mine were magical though mundane in comparison. (I include the foruth one in my book, Hymn to Hekate)

Euripides' play Medea, translated by the great American poet, Robinson Jeffers. Zoe Caldwell as Medea, witch and devotee of Chthonic Hekate, is a force of nature. You can't take your eyes off of her. Powerfully staged and directed. True poetry.
Lovis Corinth's paintings are incredibly realistic, in a style I'd characterize as realistic expressionism. I don't know enough about his work to know if he set out to offend or provoke.

Today, many celebrate the life, death, and resurrection of the great prophet, Jesus (as I once did). His opposition to political and spiritual repression is a god-like life. His great works of healing continue to bring hope and joy to those at death's door, and the lost and dispossessed.

Technology is amazing
He was not resurrected. There was no empty tomb. In fact, there was no tomb. He was buried like all the other crucified criminals - in an unmarked grave, perhaps near the garbage dump known as Golgotha and Calvary.
