Federick Messer (1792-1907) of Haywood County NC was said to live till 114 years old! He was one of the last original pioneers of the Appalachian mountains! I haven't seen anybody debunking his claim, the only debate I've seen is whether he lived to 114 or 115! The photos were from the early 1900's.
